Diplomatic immunity, means that diplomats these are people who work in embassies in other countries, they are exempt there are the law of that country that does not apply to them
for example, they don't have to pay tax
they are exempt from the laws of the country where they are
British ambassador in America is immune, he cannnot be prosecuted for most things that he does in the United States
he is immune to American Law
diplomatiic immunity alsl applieis to his family and the people who work for him in the embassy
this generally means that you can't search them, you can't arrest them, you can't tax them either
to allow members of embassies and diplomats the freedom to do what is considered normal within their country
normally this is on a bilateral basis
it's like a get-out-of-jail-free card

this is mail or in theory letters which are sent from the home country to Enbassy or vice versea
it's not necessarily a bag, it can be any container that is actually marekd as a diplomatic pouch
it cannot be stopped and searched and it's not subject to customs and exise
you can actually import or export anything as long as it's to do with the work of the embassy
clearly there have been many misuses of this
diplomatic bags have been used to smuggle drugs, weapons and things like that
there have been all sorts of incidents of misuses of the diplomatic pouch
diplomatic immunity applies to anything in this diplomatic pouch

Diplomatic Courier is the person who accompanies this
this person diplomatic courier has also diplomatic immunity, it can't be stopped it can't be searched
