Straddle : (양쪽으로)다리를 벌리고 올라앉다, 올라서다, (강/도로/땅)가로지르다, 양쪽에 걸치다, (여러 시간대/활동/집단)걸치다, 아우르다, (잡초 등)불규칙하게 뻗어나가다

 

To stand or sit with your legs on either side of something

Metaphorically, to have something on both sides of something

The bridge straddled the river, it spanned the river, it went from one side to another

He straddled the bench and sit down to sit astride 

He straddled the horse, he put his leg either side of the horse

The forest straddles cross several counties 

It belongs partly in all of them
