Now all of dictionaries say the word nitid, jsut means shiny lustrous bright and glistening
I guess you can use it like that and I don't think it's a problem syaing that something is shiny and birght, it's got a steady brightness to it
I've also notied the dictionaries have avoided user giving examples of nitid like the plague
But for me, this word nitid has the idea of something you can see with clarity. you can see all of the small details. it's completely in focus
To me, the primary meaning of nitid is a sharp clear picture
something in sharp detail, you can see all of it very clearly, it's not fuzzy and hazy. it's clear

Amazon is selling a puzzle and it's described as no missing pieces, very nitid picture, bright colors dazzling detials. this is talking about clarity
A review for a Sony TV, I was surprised how clear and nitid the picture was. this is talking about clarity of detail, it's not talking about shininess that all of dictionaries indicate
Sombody who took a photograph, I finally mananged to get a nitid picture or almost of this thing. here if nitid was used for the meaning of brighting, it doesn't make sense. so in this context, the meaning of the word nitid is for clarity
