I also have heard this word suss used quite often, my kids used to use it all the time to as an exclamation
to say that was lame or you deserved it 
I see somebody saying that I dislike slip on a banana and then fall on the ground - suss!, you derved it  
this use of suss is very informal and very British
the teacher caught the teacher's pet in the exam - suss!, he deserves it, he deserves the punishment that's so funny
it's ironically funny but that's really rather unusual

notice, you can use this word, sus as an abbreviation of suspicious
this is a very sus guy, a bit suspicious. but you could have also means that he is very intelligent and he has a lot of awareness
he is very sus. does it means suspicious or smart? - both
sus is an adjective, shrewd, intelligent
there is this sus bloke standing on the corner, you're gonna have to think about it from the context  

you used to have a sus laws as well in English with one 's'
this allows the police to arrest people, because they suspected that they were going to do something and they were loitering in a public place with Criminal intent
normally this is one 's'  but it could be two 's' as well
