Consensus vs Compromise
Compromise : 타협, 절충, 절충해서 나온것, 타협하다, (원칙/신념 등을)굽히다, 양보하다, 손상시키다

a compromise is an argument or a disagreement in which both sides reduce what they are demanding they reduce the minimum that they say they may have
you compromise in order to reach an agreement
the vendor wanted 20 but I would only give him 10 but finally we reached a compromised of 15
a compromise is somewhere between two positions

a consensus is a general agreement among a group of people
that is general opinion
it's waht most people think
there is a consensus of opinion that this item is too expensive
in aformentioned example, we reached a compromise of 15, this is also a concenssus beacuse we both aree about the same thing

Although a compromise talks about reducing your demands
whereas consensus says two or more people are in agreement
their is a consensus among scientists that global warning is going to get much more serious in the future
but a compromise is always it within a negotiation and reduing your demands
they reach an agreement, they reach a consensus
a compromise talks about trying to reaach a consensus, to reach a point of view where both sides agree through reducing each of demands
a consensus, it's common opinion or common consent
a compromise is a midpoint, a reasonable position, reaching a position which is acceptable to everyone

compromize has other meanings as well
if something is compromised, security can be compromised, it can be broken or it doesn't work anymore
you don't want to compromise your value or the things you really stand for
Formality : 6 for a comopromise
Formality : 6.5 for a consensus
