Carry Forward : ~을 이월하다, ~을 진척시키다

To include a number in a later calculation

To bring sth to a later calculation

The losses for last year will be carried forward to next year's accounts

To make progress 

To carry the project forward

This channel is instrumental in carrying your English forward 

 

 

Carry Off : (어려운 일)~을 해내다, ~을 성공하다, 죽다, 사망하다, (죽어)실려나가다

To succeed in doing sth

He carried it off, he was successful in something difficult

To take away, to die

People were carried off by the infection

He was carried off by a serious disease

To take them away to underworld or heaven

 

 

Carry On : 계속하다, 투덜대다, (~와)불륜을 맺다

To continue

To keep going

To carry on with something

Carry on with what you are doing

To behave very badly

The couple were carrying on, were behaving badly , were arguing

To be carrying on with sb to have an affair with them

The carry on firm

The carry on camping

 

 

Carry Out : (음식)사서 들고가다, (과업)~을 수행하다, 이행하다

To take away

get a carryout =  take a takeaway

Carry the food out

To carry out the task, to do a task

 

 

Carry Over : (다른 상황에서 계속) 이어지다, (다른 상황까지 계속)~을 가져가다

To continue past a certain point in time

It carried over into the evening because there was too much to do

To continue into a new time frame

 

 

Carry Through : ~을 완수하다, (말한대로)~을 이행하다

To complete sth

To do what you say you are going to do

Carry through the plan despite a lot of opposition

Carry through with sth
