39. Unseal vs Open - Difference - Unseal and Open / Seal and Close

Unseal : (봉인된 것을)개봉하다, 열다

Seal : (봉투) 봉인하다, 밀봉하다, 밀폐하다

Open : (문뚜껑)열다, (가로막고 있던 것을) 열다, 젖히다, 열리다, 젖혀지다

Close : (문/커튼)닫다, 치다, (눈을)감다, (문 등이)닫히다, (책/우산)접다, 덮다

 

Unseal
-> something that's sealed has been shut or closed officially
-> the building is sealed because this is a crime scene
-> to seal sth hermetically so that the air can't go in and out
-> envelope was sealed 
-> but it's wrong to use that envelope was unsealed 

 

Open 
-> much more general word
-> when you just com home and you unlock the door , it's just to open not to unseal
-> envelope was open
-> but it's wrong to use that envelope was closed
